Local government
In line with Slovak legislation local government is represented by the Mayor’s office and the Council.
The mayor is elected in democratic votes for a period of 4 years and serves as the administrative and executing function of the local government. Employees of the Mayor’s office fulfil the everyday administrative tasks and public services of the municipality.
The Council consists of nine members who are elected in the same votes for a period of 4 years.

Council
The Council members meet upon need – usually between September and June, every last Tuesday of the months. The meetings of the Council are open to public.
